Local-First & On-Device Security Architecture
At Dazz Cam (and OMO Roll on Android), protecting your privacy and personal memories is fundamental to everything we build. This Privacy Policy outlines how your information is handled across the dazzcam.app website and our mobile applications.
1. Local Photo & Video Processing Guarantee
Dazz Cam processes all photographs and video recordings strictly on your local device hardware using native OpenGL ES and C++ optical render pipelines.
Zero Cloud Uploads: No captured photos, videos, or camera previews are ever transmitted to external cloud servers, remote databases, or third-party AI models.
No Facial Recognition: We do not scan, collect, or store biometric identifiers, facial geometry, or personal characteristics from your photos.
2. Device Gallery Storage & Permissions
Photos taken with Dazz Cam are saved directly to your system DCIM / Gallery storage to prevent accidental data loss and ensure you retain 100% ownership over your photos.
Camera Permission: Required strictly to display the live viewfinder and capture photos with your selected film or CCD digicam preset.
Photos/Media Storage Permission: Required solely to write your captured retro photos into your device photo library.
Microphone Permission (Optional): Required only when recording video with audio in video camera modes.
3. Information We Collect
We collect minimal, aggregated data necessary to maintain service reliability, fix software defects, and deliver customer support:
Aggregated Analytics & Performance Telemetry: We use Google Firebase Analytics (GA4) on our website and mobile app to track general page views, feature adoption rates, and crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics). This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify individual users or photos.
Customer Support & Feedback: If you submit feedback, support requests, or bug reports via our in-app feedback channel or via email, we collect your submitted message, optional attachments, and contact information to resolve your inquiry.
Device & Diagnostic Information: Basic device hardware model, OS version, and GPU renderer type to ensure stable 60fps viewfinder rendering across different Android and iOS devices.
4. Third-Party Services & Meta (Facebook) Platform Compliance
We adhere strictly to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies:
Facebook Login / Social Integration: If you interact with our services via Facebook Login, we only request standard basic public profile data. We never sell, rent, or share this data with third parties or data brokers.
Advertising & Rewarded Videos: We integrate Google AdMob to provide rewarded video ad access for trying Pro camera looks. Ad networks may collect advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) in accordance with platform privacy guidelines and consent prompts.
5. User Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Regardless of your geographic location, you enjoy full rights over your data, including:
Right to Access: Request a copy of any personal data or feedback logs associated with your account.
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete records.
Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request the permanent deletion of all data records we hold regarding you.
Right to Restrict or Object: Opt-out of non-essential analytics tracking or marketing communications.
6. User Data Deletion Instructions
In accordance with Meta Platform requirements, you can request the deletion of your user data or revoke app permissions at any time:

We retain support feedback and telemetry logs only for as long as necessary to provide service support and fulfill regulatory obligations, typically not exceeding 90 days unless required by law.
